Even though the girls are too old to dress up in costumes and go trick or treating, they still love to carve pumpkins! And mom loves roasting the yummy pumpkin seeds!
Here's their artwork:
McKenna's - Large Evil Pumpkin eats helpless small one!
Boy, was it sure fun to watch a different sport for a change! We love soccer but diversity is good so we were thrilled when Aleah said she wanted to go out for tennis. She had really never played before but she picked it up pretty quickly and enjoyed the season. And we learned a lot about tennis!
It was also fun to watch Tiffany, Shawn's sister, play on the same team.
McKenna was disappointed to have to miss a few soccer games this fall due to a broken right index finger. She was playing catch with a nerf football (thrown by a boy! ha) and started complaining how bad it hurt. We figured she had just jammed and bruised it really bad but it swelled up pretty good and turned numerous shades of dark purple. After having it xrayed, sure enough...broken! Therefore, no soccer because if it got hit and knocked out of alignment it would require surgery. McKenna also discovered it was quite difficult to write with a broken "writing" finger!
McKenna had another successful soccer season with her club team, SU Thunder. They finished the season undefeated and won the league championship. Not only do the girls work together well on the field but they are really great friends off the pitch as well. Mac really enjoys her team!
I am going to attempt to repent and catch up our blog. I left off last with Lexi's Bridal Shower, so next comes the wedding.
It was such a beautiful day here in St. George! The sealing took place in the St. George Temple and we held the reception that evening at our home. We really appreciate all the family and friends that came to support Shawn & Lexi and help in so many ways! What a beautiful couple they are and we are so excited and happy for them and thrilled to have Shawn join our family.
