December 2010: We're told it doesn't happen very often but we've seen it both winters we've lived here now. The rain sooned turned to snow and then it turned cold so it stuck around for a week or so. It wasn't so bad, knowing that it wouldn't last long, but still it's strange to see snow on palm trees and topiary plants.

That was probably the day that it even snowed here! Well, it was in Scottsdale, but that's close enough to here! Brrrr!
